Setting the Object Type Within Operational Dashboards

After setting the properties and access for the dashboard, you can select the data type to report on or visualize for each view.

All the data, metadata, filters, and so on in the view will be based on this object type. Each view can have only one object type, but it may vary between views.

In Tax Reporting, these object types are available:

  • Tasks
  • Alerts
  • Supplemental Data
  • Supplemental Data Forms

To specify the object type:

  1. Open an operational dashboard from the Operational Dashboard page.
  2. Click the Object icon and select the required object.
  3. Click Save to save the settings.

If you change the object type, all the settings in the region will be reset.

Note:

If the admin uses the Enable Feature option to turn on a module in an existing environment ( Supplemental Data Manager), the user can't see the Object Type for that module until the Daily Maintenance has been run.
