Usecase Example (Ignore Inactive State in Regional Tax Automation)

  • Confirm you have a Regional Tax Automation rule for the San Jose entity and that Alabama is set to Inactive.

  • Go to the new Tax Settings screen.
  • Under Select Type -> Tax Automation, find Use Regional Tax Automation Rules For Active States Only and verify it is Disabled (default).

  • Run Consolidation for San Jose.
  • Verify results: values are populated by the automation rule even though Alabama is inactive.

  • Go back to the new Tax Settings screen and drag the slider to Enable Use Regional Tax Automation Rules For Active States Only

    Note:

    Enabling/disabling does not change status to Impacted.
  • Run Consolidation again for San Jose.
  • Verify results: Regional Tax Automation ignores Alabama (inactive), so values are not populated for that state.
