Adding and Applying US HOS Rules

Hours of Service (HOS) allows you to define HOS rules and HOS rule sets to restrict the amount of drive/work time by a driver. Following are the steps required to define the rules and the additional steps to implement them.

1. Create HOS Rules.
2. Put the HOS Rules on HOS Rule Sets.
3. Specify the HOS Rule Set on a rate service.
4. Specify the rate service on a rate offering.
5. Specify the rate offering on a driver.
6. On the Driver Manager, select the Use History check box.
