Updates Allowed

You can choose an option for Updates Allowed option via Configuration and Administration > Power Data > Qualifiers > Remark Qualifiers.

Note: Updates Allowed is only supported through XML integration, not via DB.XML.

Note: When updating reference numbers via integration, use the transaction code "U". Using transaction code "IU" will always add a new reference number.

When adding reference numbers and remarks via integration, the persistence behavior is fully determined by the updates allowed configuration for that qualifier. Choose one of the following options to configure whether existing remarks/reference numbers with a certain qualifier are updated or new references are added with the same qualifier.

• One, Update: existing value is replaced with the value from the inbound message.
• One, Do not Update: existing value is retained and the data in the inbound message are ignored.
• Many: values in the inbound message are added as new remarks/references. However, if a remark sequence number is also present in the inbound message, then any existing value for the combination of remark qualifier and sequence number will be replaced.
