Select Product Classification

This page is accessed via:

• Classification > Items > Actions > Classify Item
• Master Data > Items > Actions > Classify Item

Once the Classify Item action is run, the Classification window opens and displays all item classifications that meet the arguments you entered for the Classify Item action.

1. Review the available classifications and click on the classification code you wish to select. The Select Product Classification window opens.
2. Select the purpose of the classification from the Purpose drop-down list.
3. Enter the date from when the binding ruling is effective in the Binding Ruling Effective Date field.
4. Enter the date till when the binding ruling is effective in the Binding Ruling Expiration Date field.
5. Enter a rule ID in the Tariff Rules of Interpretation ID field.
6. Enter any notes and description that you require.
7. To view any duties and taxes that may be applicable to this classification, click View Duties and Taxes.
8. To save the classification information, click Save Classification.
