Order Management

Unassign Order Movement

This action takes permanent order movements and unassigns them from all related shipments. The status of the permanent order movements is set to OM_PLANNED_UNSCHEDULED to indicate that the order movement is no longer planned on a shipment. The shipment ship unit lines will be returned to the shipment ship units (just like their original form). You can create another shipment or assign the order movement to a different shipment using the Move to Shipment action. This page is accessed via order movement actions.

After this action, all related shipments with no orders are removed. Related shipments with remaining orders are re-rated and downstream shipments are re-driven and also repacked.

If a network routable order movement is selected, this action will unassign all associated network leg order movements from related shipments, and will then delete these network leg order movements. The appropriate shipment ship units will be assigned to the network routable order movement. The status will be set to OM_PLANNED_UNSCHEDULED.

The property glog.business.order.prevalidateInUnassignOrderMovements controls whether OTM needs to check reuse equipment while unassigning order movements. The default is false meaning do not pre-validate while unassigning order movements.

Note: When unassigning order movements from a unitized consol shipment, if one of the order movements is not stuffed at the Port of Load and destuffed at Port of Delivery, this action cannot be performed.

Unassign Consol Order Movement

If an order movement is on a consol leg and it is associated with reuse equipment, this order movement must be unassigned last or all order movements can be unassigned simultaneously.

For example, you have the following order movements:

  1. OM1- Leg1
  2. OM2 - Leg2(consol and resue)
  3. OM3 - Leg3(reuse)

Consol leg order movement OM2 can not be unassigned, unless both OM1 and OM3 are unplanned, or you can unassign all three order movements simultaneously.
