Compatibility Rule

This page is accessed via Shipment Management > Power Data > General > Compatibility Rule.

Use this page to define rules to determine whether an object is compatible with other objects. For example, driver to location, driver to equipment and equipment to location. You may have a driver that cannot leave the country so you would set up a compatibility rule for driver to location.

Adding a Compatibility Rule

1. Enter a unique identifier in the Compatibility Rule ID field.
2. Select a Compatibility Rule Type. These are predefined. The rule type that you select will determine most of the rest of the fields on this page.
3. Select a domain in which this compatibility rule will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
4. Enter an ID in the Power Unit ID field.
5. Depending on the compatibility rule type selected, select the main object for compatibility, for example if the rule type is Driver to Location, enter a driver ID.
6. In the Compatibility Rule Detail section:
   1. Enter the ID of the second business object to compare compatibility.
   2. Select the compatible object list for compatibility.
   3. Select the Compatible check box if these objects are compatible.
   4. Click Save.
7. Click Finished.
