Packaging Form Code

This page is accessed via Order Management > Power Data > Item Classifications > Packaging Form Code.

The Packaging Form Code table stores generic packaging form codes, as opposed to specific packaging form codes that can be created and used by a manufacturer. For example, CTN would mean carton and this would cover all types and sizes of carton. These codes are industry standards that are used for EDI element 211. This carton would represent an additional level of packaging when assigned to a ship unit; for example, tennis balls being transported inside a packaging form called a crate inside a ship unit called a large box.

Use the Reference Number section of the page to record reference numbers for the packaging form code.
