Bulk Mixing Family

This page is accessed via Order Management > Power Data > Item Classifications > Bulk Mixing Family.

Use this page to define bulk mixing families. In general, mixing of two packaged items is not allowed in bulk compartments but if the packaged items belong to the same bulk mixing family, they can be mixed. If a bulk mixing family is not defined the item will not be mixable with any other packaged items. For example, you may have two different item IDs and market them as different items but are essentially the same so can be mixed.

Additionally, to allow mixing, the Container Optimization Logic Configuration parameter USE BULK EQUIPMENT GROUP LOGIC (under Tuning Parameters) must be set to true and the Exclusive Use check box on a ship unit cannot be selected.

Adding a Bulk Mixing Family

1. Enter a Bulk Mixing Family ID.
2. Enter a Bulk Mixing Family Name.
3. If desired, enter a description in the Description field.
4. Accept the default Domain or select another.
5. Click Finished.
