You can use Incoterms to give a clear picture of rights and responsibilities during the delivery process. Incoterms are recognized worldwide as undisputable evidence of the responsibilities of buyers as well as sellers' responsibilities for delivery under a sales contract. Incoterms provide definitions for delivery points, loading and unloading obligations and customs clearance.

Oracle Transportation Management uses Incoterms when bundling orders for shipment planning. For example, orders with the same Incoterms are candidates for bundling their order releases together for shipment planning. Orders with no Incoterm assignment are considered compatible for bundling.
