Workbench Manager

Note: You must be logged in as DBA.ADMIN or the domain.ADMIN to access this page. The Enhanced Workbench menus are only available on the  DBA_ADMIN_MENU and ADMIN_MENU public menus.

This page is accessed via Configuration and Administration > User Configuration > Workbench Manager.

There are two types of Workbench layouts:

  • Workbench Designer: The Workbench Designer only displays legacy workbenches.
  • Enhanced Workbench: The Enhanced Workbench designer displays both legacy and enhanced layouts. The legacy layouts are read-only; while the enhanced layouts can be created, edited, and deleted. In the Workbench Layout drop-down list, legacy layouts are marked with an asterisk.

You can use the Workbench Manager to convert a legacy Workbench to an Enhanced Workbench. The user should have Workbench editable access for the layout in order to switch format. Two actions help you convert your layouts:

  • Switch to Enhanced View: switch selected legacy layouts to enhanced layouts. Once a layout is switched to enhanced view it no longer appears in the Workbench Designer Layout drop-down list.
  • Switch to Legacy View: switch enhanced workbench layouts to legacy format. In order to switch to legacy view, the Workbench Designer layout must already exist. You cannot create a new enhanced layout and switch it to legacy view.

Click Delete icon (Delete) to delete the selected workbench layout.
