Equipment Type Repositioning

This page is accessed via Fleet Management > Visibility > Location Asset Inventory. Click Actions > Equipment Type Repositioning.

This action allows you to move equipment types from one location to another. The created shipments are then available for both driver and equipment instance assignment.  Associated inventory buckets are adjusted as part of running this action. Repositioning shipments will be deleted if the equipment type assigned to the repositioning shipments is unassigned.

Repositioning Equipment

1. Select either Inbound or Outbound depending on whether you want to indicate if the equipment type is moving into a location or out of a location. The first input field will either be From Location ID or To Location ID depending on your selection.
2. Enter the location affected in either the To Location ID or the From Location ID field depending on your selection in step 1.
3. In the Reposition Count field, enter the number of equipment types to be moved.
4. Enter the Service Provider ID.
5. Optionally, enter the Earliest Start Time and/or the Latest Arrival Time.
6. Click OK. The buckets are updated for each of the involved locations.
