User-Defined Code Profiles

This page is accessed via Master Data > Power Data > User-defined Codes > User-defined Code Profiles.

Use this feature to create your own code profiles for use in Global Trade Management.

1. Enter an ID in the User-defined Code Profile ID field.
2. Select an object type from the Object Type drop-down list. Supported object types include Trade Transaction, Trade Item Structure, and Contact.
3. Select the domain in which this code type will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
4. If desired, enter a description of the code profile in the Description field.
5. Select the Compatible option if you want this code to be grouped with other similar codes and be compatible with whatever this particular profile is assigned to.
6. Click Details to move to the Details tab.
7. Select a code category from the Category drop-down list.
8. Select an ID from the Type ID drop-down list.

Note: The available options are determined by your choice of category in the previous step.

9. Select a code from the Type Code drop-down list.

Note: The available options are determined by your choice of type in the previous step. For easy understanding of the user, this drop-down list displays description of the user-defined code values instead of only the codes.

10. Click Save. You can add as many user-defined codes as you need. Remember to click Save after entering each code.
11. Click Finished.
