Rate Offering Time Period Definitions

This page is accessed via Contract and Rate Management > Power Data > General > Rate Offering Time Period Definitions.

Use this page to define the time periods used for tiered rates.

If you have a model of Cycle Type D (day) and a duration of 1, the cycle will restart after each day. A cycle of D with a duration of 7, would restart after 7 days. Similarly, a cycle type of W (week), with a duration of 1, would restart after a week. The same as the previous example.

Note: If there are any historical time periods for a time period definition, then you cannot edit the time period definition.

  1. Enter a Rate Offering Time Period Definition ID.
  2. Enter a Description.
  3. Select a Cycle Type from the drop-down list. The Month-to-Month and Year-to-Year types represent a month or year that start on a specified date. For example, 03/07/2008-03/07/2009. These differ from the Month and Year types in that the Month and Year types represent the entire month or year from the first day of that time period. For example 01/01/2008-01/01/2009.
  4. Enter a number for the Cycle Duration. It allows you to specify two days or four weeks, etc. depending upon the cycle type.
  5. Enter a Start Date. When you save the record, the start date may be adjusted based on the cycle type you have selected. For example, if you select a cycle type of year but you specify a start date other than January 1, the start date will automatically be reset to January 1.
  6. Select a Domain Name from the drop-down list.
  7. Click Finished.
