Trade Incentive Program Zone Statuses

A zone status refers to the designation assigned to merchandise admitted into a Free Trade Zone, determining how duties and taxes are applied. Each status carries different implications for duty deferral, reduction, or elimination, making Free Trade Zone a useful tool for companies to import or manufacture products that may be reexported.

Use this page to add a new status or to modify the existing ones.

Adding a Trade Incentive Program Zone Status

  1. Enter a unique identifier in the Zone Status ID field. You will use this ID when you refer to this trade incentive program zone status on other pages.
  2. Enter the name of the zone status in the Name field.
  3. If desired, enter additional information about the zone status in the Description field.
  4. Enter a profile ID in the Declaration Type Profile field.
  5. Enter the code that is externally used for the zone status in the External Reference Code field.
  6. Select a domain in which this zone status will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
  7. Click Finished.
