Configuring a Language for the User Interface
You can change the language of the field names, buttons, icons, and other text elements in the Oracle Transportation Management and Global Trade Management user interfaces. The user interface has translations for a variety of languages. To change the language of the OTM/GTM user interface, complete the following:
- Navigate to Configuration and Administration > Preferences > User Preferences.
- Click New to create a new user preference set. Or search for and edit an existing user preference set.
- Use the Name drop-down list to select Language.
- Use the Value drop-down list to select the language. See User Preferences for the list of supported languages.
- Optionally, set the Country user preference.
In some instances, there is more than one variation of a language based on the country. For example, there is European French and Canadian French. In that case, you must create another user preference for Country, in addition to the one for Language.- Use the Name drop-down list to select Country.
- Use the Value drop-down list to select the country. See User Preferences for the list of supported countries.
- Create an OTM/GTM user or update an existing user.
- Assign the user preference set to the user.
- Navigate to Configuration and Administration > User Configuration > Manage User Access.
- Via Manage User Access, assign the user preference to the user.
- Log out of and then back into OTM/GTM.
