Using DB.XML Files to Update Data

Oracle Transportation Management ships with several powerful database utilities to assist with importing and exporting data in DB.XML (database-centric XML) format.

DB.XML is a file format for importing and exporting Oracle Transportation Management data. DB.XML files are especially effective for updating parent-child sets of data, such as rates. DB.XML files perform the following actions:

• Update and delete data using DB.XML files.
• Import and export using Oracle Transportation Management Web screens, client-side batch jobs, or DOS or UNIX command lines.
• Copy data from one domain to another.
• Import data to Oracle Transportation Management in DB.XML format.
• Export data from Oracle Transportation Management in DB.XML format.
