Fleet Management
Location Asset Inventory Manager
This page is accessed via Fleet Management > Visibility > Location Asset Inventory.
Use this page to track asset inventory. You can also create new buckets to track your inventory. Buckets represent the status of an asset at the indicated location. For example, if you have 12 pieces of equipment on hand at one of your locations, you could use the location asset inventory manager to show the location, the asset type (equipment), and what bucket it is in (on hand). For each bucket you can keep track of how many assets are available. In the previous example, you have 12 on hand. However 3 of those might move to the different bucket of "in transit" when the equipment is on the road.
If no source location or bucket is specified, the action will mimic adding an asset, incrementing the destination bucket. If a source location or bucket is specified, the asset must exist there for the action to succeed, and it should be moved only from that specified location or bucket. If the asset does not exist in the specified source location or bucket, an error will be displayed along with the inventory summary. When moving an asset to an existing bucket, the application will display an error if the asset is already present only in that bucket. If moving an asset to an existing bucket without specifying any source bucket fields but the asset exists in other buckets, the "Move" action will be successfully. In this case, the asset will be moved only to the specified destination bucket and removed from all other source buckets by ensuring that the result screen accurately reflects these changes.
Note: The application will support the action performed on multiple assets with a combination of succeeding and failing cases.
Note: Location asset inventory is not updated for a driver with a fixed power unit and fixed equipment.
