Recurring Processes

This page is accessed via:

  • Process Management under any menu option. Then, select Recurring Processes
  • User (Settings and Actions) icon in the Unified Global Header. Then, under Administration, select Recurring Processes

Use this process to modify the schedule or delete any process that you submitted to Oracle Transportation Management using any of the options on the Process Manager page.

Note: Recurring processes should be set up under the User ID Domain.Admin. If a typical user initiates a recurring process and later that user is deleted, any recurring processes set up by that user will not function.

Use the Search page to find the process that you want (only those that were submitted with a schedule). You can locate the process by the process name, the saved query, or the domain. The results on the search page are processes that are recurring, or are scheduled for the future.

Note: Deleting a scheduled process does not remove the query from the Oracle Transportation Management database; it only stops the process from running.

Note: When you schedule a process, the process takes daylight saving time into account, when applicable.

Search Page Options

Use the Search page to find the process that you want. You can locate the process by three attributes, Process, With, and Domain Name.

  • The Process field allows you to search for a specific process, for example, Release Orders, Build Shipments, Data Query.
  • The With field allows you to search for the saved query used to run the process. The data in this field must be entered in all capital letters.
  • The Domain Name field allows you to search within a specific domain.
  • The Reserved field allows you to search for recurring processes that cannot be edited, rescheduled, or deleted. OTM shipped recurring processes are reserved.
  • The Favorites field allows you to search for a process that you have marked to be a user favorite.

You can create complex searches by entering as many values as you like across any of these attributes. To display all processes, leave the Search page blank and click Search.

Steps

  1. After performing your search, select the recurring process you want to edit, then click Edit.
  2. Enter a User Role. When you run, publish, or schedule a recurring process, you can specify the user role used to perform the process, just like when you run agents. The user role can be used to specify a separate VPD role or another domain to run the agent. When a recurring process is modified, the user role of the recurring process can be modified as well.
  3. Select a Log Profile to generate focused logging when reproducing an error for the specific action. You cannot select a log profile when you choose to schedule a process, as automatic generation of action logs is not supported.
  4. Select Execute, Publish, or Schedule to determine when the process will be executed.
  5. Click Submit.

  6. OR
  7. To stop a process from running, click Delete. This does not actually delete the record from the database, it just stops the process from running in the future.
