Creating Agents for Report Sets

You need to create two agents to have Oracle Transportation Management generate and send report sets automatically. The first agent generates the reports and the second sends them as soon as the reports are ready. This topic explains how to create those agents.

Generate Reports

1. Navigate to Business Process Automation > Agents and Milestones > Automation Agent.
2. Enter a unique identifier in the Agent ID field.
3. Select Shipment as your Agent Type.
4. Select the domain in which you want to create your agent from the Domain Name drop-down list.
5. Select an Event.
6. Select when Oracle Transportation Management should generate the reports, for example, Shipment - Cost Modified.
7. Select Save.
8. Select to establish restrictions for the event.
9. Select from what source or sources the event can come from. For example, you may have the agent listen for changes imported via integration only.
10. Select View/Enter Actions.
11. Select Add Action.
12. Select Print Document.
13. Select what Report Set you want to generate.
14. Select Save.
15. Select Finished.

Send Reports

1. Navigate to Business Process Automation > Agents and Milestones > Automation Agent.
2. Enter a unique identifier in the Agent ID field.
3. Select Report as your Agent Type.
4. Select the domain in which you want to create your agent from the Domain drop-down list.
5. In the Agent Events section, find or enter Report - Ready.
6. Select next to Restrictions.
7. Select what report set to send and select Save.
8. Select Save to save the grid.
9. Select View/Enter Actions.
10. Select Add Action.
11. Select who to send the report set to. For example, choose Notify Contact.
12. Select the Contact to notify.
13. Select a Communication Method.
14. Leave the Subject field empty. Oracle Transportation Management will use a default subject string instead.
15. Select Save.
16. Select Finished.
