Master Data
Programs
This page is accessed via Trade Incentive Programs > Programs.
Use this page to add trade incentive programs specific to different countries or regimes. You can capture details like discharge time, accounting method, matching criteria, involved parties, registration, etc. Using the trade incentive programs would mean monitoring of stock movement, stock balance, track and trace by customs.
Note: You have to obtain authorization to use some trade incentive programs.
Note: It is recommended that the parameters "QUANTITY QUALIFIER" and "TIP QUANTITY QUALIFIER" have the same value in transaction logic configuration/declaration logic configuration for trade incentive program related action (like, Perform Entry/Exit Recording) to function properly.
Adding a Trade Incentive Program
- Enter a unique identifier in the Trade Incentive Program ID field. You will use this ID when you refer to this trade incentive program on other pages.
- Enter the name of the trade incentive program in the Name field.
- Select the type of the trade incentive program from the options available in the Trade Incentive Program Type drop-down list.
- Select a domain in which this trade incentive program will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
- If desired, enter additional information about the trade incentive program in the Description field.
- Select the Active checkbox to mark the trade incentive program as active.
- Enter a date in the Effective Date and Expiration Date fields which define the start and the end date of the trade incentive program.
- Select the Partial Reconciliation Allowed checkbox to allow reconciliation of components for this trade incentive program when you run the action Perform Entry/Exit Recording.
- Enter the regime the trade incentive program belongs to in the Regime ID field.
OR
Enter the jurisdiction the trade incentive program belongs to in the Jurisdiction ID field. - Enter a regulation reference that the trade incentive program is associated with in the Regulation Reference ID field.
- Enter an operation set in the Operation Set ID field. This associates the operations allowed for this trade incentive program when you perform the Create Declaration action.
- Enter a classification type in the Product Classification Type field.
- Select the Authorization Required checkbox if this trade incentive program requires authorization to be used.
- Select the required option from the Accounting Method drop-down list.
- Select the Apply First Filing Rule checkbox to indicate that for this program, the rule which was first used to adjust balances in an inventory after an exit will also be used for subsequent value adjustments on the same inventory when you run the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action. This prevents matching of an inventory using multiple rules during the reconciliation process (like in case of the Duty Drawback program where multiple types of rules, such as Direct Identification and Substitution can exist).
- Enter the required saved conditions in the Entry Saved Condition and Exit Saved Condition fields. The applicable trade incentive program is determined based on these queries when you run the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action.
- Enter a data configuration ID in the Entry Transaction Data Configuration ID field. Based on this value, data will be copied from an entry trade transaction/transaction line to the custom inventory created when you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action.
- Enter a data configuration ID in the Entry Declaration Data Configuration ID field. Based on this value, data will be copied from an entry declaration/declaration line to the custom inventory created when you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action.
- Enter an ID in the Value Calculation ID field. Based on this, values will be adjusted on an inventory/inventory movement during reconciliation when you perform the action Perform Entry/Exit Recording.
- Enter a data configuration ID in the Exit Transaction Data Configuration ID field. Based on this value, data will be copied from a custom inventory to an exit transaction/transaction line when you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording or Reserve Inventory action.
- Enter a data configuration ID in the Exit Declaration Data Configuration ID field. Based on this value, data will be copied from a custom inventory to a exit declaration/declaration line when you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording or Reserve Inventory action.
Entry-Exit Configurations
Note: The Applicable Profiles is replaced with the Entry-Exit Configurations section. For existing users, data from the Applicable Profiles section is migrated to the Entry-Exit Configurations section as follows:
a)All the entry applicable profiles of a program are migrated as entry profiles in the Entry-Exit Configurations section with an Item Evaluation Criteria as "Item".
b)All the exit applicable profiles of a program are migrated as exit profiles in the Entry-Exit Configurations section with Item Evaluation Criteria as "Item or Components".
Use this section to associate entry/exit profiles with a trade incentive program, keep a track of physical and custom inventory, and configure if an item/component is used for reconciliation process.
Adding an Entry/Exit Profile
- Enter a number in the Sequence Number field. This will determine the sequence in which the profile will be applied to the trade incentive program.
- Enter a profile ID in the Entry Exit Profile field.
- Select any one of the following options from the Movement Type drop-down list:
- Entry: Select this option if this configuration is for an entry type of movement into the inventory.
- Exit: Select this option if this configuration is for an exit type of movement from the inventory.

- Item: Select this option if reconciliation is to be based only on items inventory. For a Movement Type of Entry, it is recommended that you select this option.
- Components: Select this option if reconciliation is to be based only on components inventory.
- Item or Components: Select this option to specify that reconciliation is to be based on item inventory, and only if item inventory is absent, then reconciliation will be based on components inventory.
- Enter a data configuration ID in the Transaction Data Configuration ID field. When you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action, based on a combination of this value, the type of movement (entry/exit), and the inventory tracking type, data will either be copied from an entry trade transaction/transaction line to the custom inventory created, or data will be copied from a custom inventory to an exit trade transaction/transaction line.
Note: The data configuration specified here takes precedence over any data configuration mentioned in the program header level in the fields Entry Transaction Data Configuration ID and Exit Transaction Data Configuration ID.
If no configuration is specified here, the data configuration at the program header level is considered. - Enter a data configuration ID in the Declaration Data Configuration ID field. When you perform the Perform Entry/Exit Recording action, based on a combination of this value, the type of movement (entry/exit), and the inventory tracking type, data will either be copied from an entry declaration/declaration line to the custom inventory created, or data will be copied from a custom inventory to an exit declaration/declaration line.
