Child Equipment Groups

This page is accessed via Shipment Management > Equipment Management > Combination Equipment Group. Then select Add Child.

Child equipment groups are a subset of a combination equipment group.

Enter child equipment group required for this equipment group. This specifies an additional level of detail for purposes of shipment planning. You can enter multiple children and edit or delete them as needed. You can only add a regular equipment group as a child equipment group. You cannot enter a child equipment that consists of compartmentalized equipment.

Adding a Child Equipment Group

1. Enter a description of the child equipment group in the Description field.
2. Enter an ID in the Child Equipment Group ID field.
3. Select Save.
4. Enter any additional groups. Remember to select Save after entering each one.
5. Select Save.

Deleting a Child Equipment Group

Each combination equipment group must have a minimum of one child equipment group.

1. Open the combination equipment group in Edit mode.
2. Select the Edit () icon to edit the list of child equipment groups.
3. Select the Delete () icon to delete a specific child equipment group.
