Logic Configuration - Fleet Equipment
Logic configuration fleet equipment parameters are accessed via the Logic Configuration page if you select a logic configuration type of Fleet Equipment. These are considered for the fleet actions pertaining to equipment and equipment type assignment actions.

The parameters are in alphabetical order and list the group they are in.

Functional Description |
|---|---|---|---|
|
ALWAYS ALLOW EMPTY MOVE |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
If true, the Assign Equipment action will always allow the user to select a leg, even if there is no move empty special service code. |
|
DRIVER OUT OF ROUTE DISTANCE |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
When there is a driver location, this is the maximum out-of-route distance from the driver's previous location to the freight pickup. |
|
DRIVER OUT OF ROUTE PCT |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This is the out-of-route percentage (as compared to the direct distance from driver previous location to freight pickup). You can enter a value greater that 100%. |
|
EQUIPMENT ASSIGNMENT COST CATEGORY SET |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
It points to a set of cost categories that are used by system to make cost decision during equipment assignment process. This is not used to determine the shipment cost when equipment is actually assigned to a shipment. It is only used for Show Options. |
|
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
Set this logic parameter to define which locations serve as "equipment pools". It limits inventory searches to locations with the "equipment pool" role. Note: Replaces a property. |
|
|
EQUIPMENT TYPE POSITIONING RADIUS |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This is used to filter equipment pool locations for all legs (drop empty, pick empty, etc). |
|
LOC INV ASSIGNED BUCKET NAME |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This is used to track where an equipment was taken from when equipment type or equipment is assigned. This bucket for the Shipment Equipment pickup stop is updated when the equipment type or equipment is assigned. So the equipment being assigned is moved out of the AVAILABLE bucket at the equipment pickup location, and moved into the ASSIGNED bucket at the equipment pickup location and the INBOUND bucket at the equipment dropoff location. When equipment type or equipment is unassigned, the equipment should move out of the ASSIGNED bucket just as it moves out of the INBOUND bucket.) |
|
LOC INV AVAILABLE BUCKET NAME |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This specifies the type of bucket out of which empty equipment type and instances will be assigned when moving out of a location. |
|
LOC INV CHECK INVENTORY BUCKET NAME |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This specifies the type of bucket for which the logic will check for inventory surplus/deficit when making CHECK INVENTORY decisions. |
|
LOC INV INBOUND BUCKET NAME |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This specifies the type of bucket into which non-drop-loaded equipment type and instance will be linked when moving into a location. |
|
LOC INV INBOUND LOADED BUCKET NAME |
Fleet Equipment |
6.1 |
This is used to track the dropoff of drop-loaded equipment. While no location inventory is updated for the assignment of pre-loaded equipment at the pickup location, with this bug the location inventory of the drop-loaded equipment will be updated at the dropoff location. When drop-loaded equipment is assigned, it will not go into an ASSIGNED or INBOUND bucket, but it will go into the new INBOUND LOADED bucket. |
