Determine Candidate Destination Locations Based on Proximity Definition
Use the flag proximity replenishment in the Replenishment Rules UI to target the closest destination (Active) location in the same aisle for wave-based replenishment.
Note: When you use Proximity Defined replenishment, the system
considers only FULL LPNs.
To use proximity definition to determine candidate destination locations, do the following:
- Go to the Replenish Template View.
- Click the Replenishment Rules button.
- You will be navigated to the Replenishment Rules screen.
Here, click the “+” action button to create a new replenishment rule.
Alternately, to edit an existing replenishment rule, select the desired rule and open the Create/Edit/Delete pane and enable the checkbox for the Proximity Replenishment flag.
- Enter mandatory details like "Rule Name" and "Capacity Check Method" as well as any other fields you’d like to configure.
- For the "Destination Location Type" field, select Active Only from the drop-down.
- Enable/set the checkbox for the Proximity Replenishment flag.
- Next, enter the desired value in the "Proximity Radius" field.Note: For the feature to work seamlessly, your bay needs to be defined only in numerical value (using positive integer values, i.e, 0, 1, 2…) using the standard format: AREA-AISLE-BAY-LEVEL-POSITION.
- Click Save.Note: For the scenarios where there are two candidate Source-Destination Location matches within the same proximity radius, then logic of FEFO > FIFO > LIFO takes precedence to perform the replenishment.
