Cycle Count Exception Scenarios
Canceling a Cycle Count Process
If you wish to exit and cancel the Cycle Count process for a given location, you must press “Ctrl-W” until the RF returns to the main menu.
LPN is in "Canceled", "Consumed", or "Shipped" Status
- When you scan an LPN in “Canceled”, “Consumed” or “Shipped” status in the Cycle Count operation, the system displays an error message that the LPN is in invalid status.
- Finding “Canceled”, “Consumed”, and “Shipped” status LPNs in the reserve location reflects poor inventory management.
- For the “Shipped” LPN inventory, you must create a new LPN, using Create LPN RF option for the physical inventory in the location. DO NOT FORGET TO PUTAWAY.
Note: In the module rf.inbound.cwrfcyclecountlocn, if you
enable the screen parameter “allow-new-lpn-scan”, you can scan canceled and consumed
LPNs in both tasking and non-tasking mode to perform detail level cycle counts. On
enabling the screen parameter “allow-new-lpn-scan”, the system allows consumed LPNs
only for the location-driven detailed cycle count. It is not supported for the
“CC-LOCN-BY-ITEM” task type. However, the system supports scanning of new or
canceled LPNs to perform both location-based and item-based detailed cycle
counts.
LPN is in an Invalid Status
When you scan an LPN in “Packed” status in the Cycle Count operation, the system gives you an error message that the LPN is in invalid status.
