Serial Number Tracking

Oracle WMS Cloud users that manage costly electronic merchandise may need to track items individually through the use of Serial Numbers. In WMS, Serial Numbers are unique codes that identify a single unit.

WMS validates serial numbers during shipping by enabling serial Number Tracking either end-to-end or outbound only. Serial number tracking is enabled similarly at the item level as well.When this tracking is enabled, the system checks if the right quantity of serial numbers are attached to the inventory being shipped and makes sure to do appropriate validations as well.
