Ship OBLPN Action Type

OBLPN Putaway actions such as locating, loading, and staging OBLPNs, support efficient inventory management after packing. These actions allow you to direct the OBLPNs to drop or staging locations, or directly load the OBLPNs, based on the configuration.

The action type “Ship OBLPN” on the OBLPN Putaway Type Action View (OblpnPATypeActionView) UI, enables you to ship OBLPNs directly to a specified shipping location as part of the OBLPN putaway workflow, reducing the need for separate shipping transactions.

By configuring “Ship OBLPN”, you can specify a shipping location to ship OBLPNs, eliminating confusion and manual workarounds. Whether dispatching individual orders, consolidating for bulk shipments, or routing for further processing, you can ship OBLPNs efficiently using the Ship OBLPN to Ship Location (rf.outbound.cwrfshipoblpn) mobile transaction.

To configure a shipping location to ship OBLPNs on the OBLPN Putaway Type Action View (OblpnPATypeActionView) UI, do the following:

  1. Click Create.
  2. Select a Putaway Type.
  3. From the OBLPN Putaway Action Type drop-down list, select “Ship OBLPN”.
  4. Configure the shipping destination using one of the following options:
    • In the Destination Location Barcode field, enter a shipping location.
    • If the shipping location is passed in the Order Header (OrderHdrView) or OBLPNs (ObContainerView) UI Custom Fields, from the Fetch Destination Location From drop-down list, select relevant custom field.
    Note:
    • You can configure only one of the above configurations.
    • If the entered location barcode is invalid or non-shipping location, the system displays an error message.
    • If the selected custom field does not have a configured location, you can scan any available shipping location during the transaction.
    • If an OBLPN has multiple orders with different locations specified in custom fields, the system displays a warning message. After accepting the warning, you can proceed to scan any available shipping location.
  5. From the OBLPN Putaway Type Action Screen drop-down list, select the Ship OBLPN to Ship Location (rf.outbound.cwrfshipoblpn) mobile transaction screen.
    Note: If you fail to configure the screen, the system displays an error message.
  6. Click Save.

After configuring the shipping location and screen for the “Ship OBLPN” action, the system navigates you to the Ship Oblpn to Ship Location mobile transaction from the OBLPN Putaway (rf.outbound.cwrfputawayoblpn) mobile transaction and guides you to the configured shipping location. You can then scan the location and ship OBLPNs to it.

ERROR HANDLING FOR OBLPNS ON LOAD

In the scenarios where you want to reroute an OBLPN directly to a shipping location even if it is loaded, the system allows shipping of OBLPNs that are already assigned to a load.

When you scan an OBLPN (that is already assigned to a load) in the Ship OBLPN to Ship Location mobile transaction, the system displays a warning message. On accepting the warning message, the system delinks the OBLPN from its assigned load and prompts for a shipping location.
