The Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management product offers a comprehensive set of features and functions to address the needs of government authorities responsible for the administration of tax law and policy.  The solution provides an easier and simpler method for capturing and implementing the ever-changing complex policy-related rules in the core tax administrative system. These capabilities are contained within a configurable software application that is maintainable and upgradeable. The solution is specifically designed and built to help government authorities achieve objectives such as maximizing tax compliance, improving taxpayer service, enhancing collection capabilities, and providing increased flexibility to respond to changes in tax law.

The information below describes this product's ability to support the applicable U.S. Section 508 standards and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 Double-A Guidelines, subject to Oracle's interpretation of those standards and the remarks in this document.

Section 1194.21 Software Applications and Operating Systems

Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management provides operational support via keyboard only:

- Event handlers for both mouse and keyboard are used together.

- Appropriate tab indexes are used on each page element in order to maintain the focus traversal order

- Keyboard access functions are provided for main toolbar functions. These functions are also accessible via keyboard tabbing.

The application provides keyboard support through the use of accelerator (shortcut) keys and access keys.  Accelerator keys are provided for common functions and navigation within application. An exception to this is the use of expand/collapse and context menu icons (bug 18961831).

1194.21(b) Applications shall not disrupt or disable activated features of other products that are identified as accessibility features, where those features are developed and documented according to industry standards. Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management does not interfere with accessibility settings providing by underline operational system or other application. The application honors sticky keys, filter and toggle keys and high contrast settings. The product was tested to confirm the response of operation system accessibility features.

 

 

1194.21(c) A well-defined on-screen indication of the current focus shall be provided that moves among interactive interface elements as the input focus changes. Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management provides well-defined on-screen indication of the current focus. Users can use the Up key to access the Admin menu and Down key for the Main menu after using the shortcut key Ctrl+Alt+M to access the Menu option.

1194.21(d) Sufficient information about a user interface element including the identity, operation and state of the element shall be available to assistive technology. Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management has only two styles of UI pages used throughout the application. Consistent style is used across the product. Images are consistent and accompanied by a text that conveys their meaning.

1194.21(f) Textual information shall be provided through operating system functions for displaying text. Product fulfills this requirement. Text is supplied through HTML or injected into the browser DOM; the browser is responsible for exposing such content in a way that is usable by assistive technology on the platform.

Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management respects color settings provided with operating system and does not override contrast and color settings. Default application CSS handles the color contrast values. The product was tested to confirm support for High Contrast and Large Fonts mode.

Markup is provided for data and header cells in Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management list grids. Application uses only simple tables with one column and one row header.
