This VPAT does not cover issues when developing with ADF Faces Components or ADF Mobile Browser (aka Apache Trinidad) components.

MAF is capable of rendering content as described below, when an application developer uses it according to guidance provided in the documentation, and follows all other applicable accessibility standards and guidelines.

Our accessibility is achieved using WAI-ARIA. Current Android versions (up to version 4.1) do not support WAI-ARIA. This Android shortcoming limits Android accessibility for MAF.

This product generates accessible content in its default mode. There is no special mode that needs to be turned on.

1194.21(e) When bitmap images are used to identify controls, status indicators, or other programmatic elements, the meaning assigned to those images shall be consistent throughout an application's performance.   • Images that convey information can have meaningful alternative text using ALT and if necessary, LONGDESC
  • Images that are decorative can be marked so as to be ignored by assistive technology, either by using ALT="" or CSS background images
1194.21(f) Textual information shall be provided through operating system functions for displaying text. The minimum information that shall be made available is text content, text input caret location, and text attributes.   • Text is supplied through HTML or injected into the browser DOM; the browser is responsible for exposing all such content in a way that is usable by assistive technology on the platform.
