Netra Modular System (NMS) 1.0.0.0.1

NMS is a computing infrastructure to provide blade like hardware and software support for existing and future servers.

It consists of:

  • Sun  Rack II, FBN/FBS per compute node, cabling
  • X5-2M 1U RMSs as a blade that are identical to X5-2 in hardware with mechanical/electrical connection to slide in designated  elevations in the rack.
  • ES2-72 switches that are also cabled into their designated elevations.
  •  Frame Monitoring Module(FMM) that has an NSN pilot3 module and Broadcom switch on board for system monitoring.

 

Software/firmware: Solaris 11.x , Linux 6.x, Oracle ILOM 3.2.4, Oracle ILOM 3.2.5

APIs provided for rack level system management  stack (OpenHPI, Cacao, NPI) for higher level software
