10.1.3 Create a Replicat Using an Existing Connection

Use the following procedure to create a Replicat for a target that supports connections.

Create and Validate the Target Connection

1. From the Connections page, create a connection for the required technology type.
2. Enter the required connection details, and then submit the connection.
3. Validate the connection and verify that the connection to the target is successful.

Create the Replicat

1. Click Add Replicat.
2. From the Target list, select the required target.
3. Select the corresponding connection alias from the available connections for the selected target.
4. Configure the remaining Replicat settings as required.

Verify the Connection Properties

After configuring the remaining Replicat settings as required in Add Replicat workflow, verify the connection properties before creating the Replicat.

Ensure that:

• The connectionID property contains the connection ID associated with the selected connection alias.
• The connectionAlias property contains the selected connection alias.

Create and Start the Replicat

1. Create the Replicat.
2. Start the Replicat.
3. Verify that the Replicat connects to the configured target successfully.
