10.1.4 Adding the Connection Before Creating the Target Replicat

Use the following work flow to create and configure the Replicat for a desired technology type/target.

Create and Configure a Replicat Using a Connection

Prerequisite: Before you create a Replicat, create and validate the required connection.

1. On the Connections page, create a connection for the required technology type.
2. Complete the required connection properties, click Submit, and validate the connection by using DBLOGIN.
3. Click Add Replicat.
4. Select Target.
5. Select the appropriate connection alias from the list of available target connections.
6. In the Connection step of the Add Replicat workflow, verify the following connection properties:
   • connectionId corresponds to the connectionId value of the selected connection alias.
   • connectionAlias corresponds to the selected connection alias.
7. Complete the remaining Replicat configuration.
8. Create the Replicat.
9. Start the Replicat and verify that it connects successfully to the configured target.
