10.1.1 Overview

Oracle GoldenGate for DAA supports connections for a broad range of databases, messaging systems, streaming platforms, object storage services, and analytics platforms. Each connection encapsulates the information required to establish communication with a supported technology, including connection endpoints, authentication methods, security settings, proxy configuration, and runtime dependencies when applicable.

Before a connection can be used, Oracle GoldenGate for DAA validates the supplied configuration to verify that the target technology is reachable and that the specified credentials are valid. A validated connection can then be selected when configuring an Extract or Replicat process.

For technologies that require Java client libraries or other runtime dependencies, configure the required dependencies before using the connection. Oracle GoldenGate for DAA provides a Dependency Downloader to obtain the supported client libraries for applicable technologies.
