4.2.1 Starting, Stopping, or Restarting a MySQL HeatWave Cluster
A MySQL HeatWave Cluster starts automatically after it is created, and the Start button is disabled. A running MySQL HeatWave Cluster shows the Active state. For information on MySQL HeatWave Cluster states, see MySQL HeatWave Cluster Details.
Restarting a MySQL HeatWave Cluster with the Restart button shuts down the MySQL HeatWave Cluster and then restarts it immediately. Stopping a MySQL HeatWave Cluster with the Stop button stops it without restarting.
When a MySQL HeatWave Cluster is stopped through a stop or restart action, the data loaded in MySQL HeatWave Cluster memory is unloaded. When a MySQL HeatWave Cluster restarts, data is reloaded from AWS S3, and includes any changes that occur on the DB System while the MySQL HeatWave Cluster is offline.
Start, stop, or restart actions on a MySQL HeatWave Cluster have no effect on the DB System with which the MySQL HeatWave Cluster is associated.
To start, stop, or restart a MySQL HeatWave Cluster:
- In the MySQL HeatWave Console, select the Resources tab, and then the MySQL HeatWave Clusters tab.
