1 Changes in Release 23.1 for Oracle APEX SQL Workshop Guide

All content in Oracle APEX SQL Workshop Guide has been updated to reflect release 23.1 functionality and user interface changes.

New Features and Updates

The following topics have been added or updated for this release:

  • Modernized Object Browser

    Key features of the new Object Browser include:

    • Create common object types easily from the new landing page
    • View and filter all types of database objects in a single tree
    • Easily continue editing your most recent object, including remembering your cursor position in the code editor
    • Switch quickly between an object's multiple tabs (for example, between the spec and body of a package, or the columns/data of a table)
    • Keep focus on your filtered subset of objects across APEX sessions
    • Work on database objects more easily using assistive technologies like screen readers
    • Use simplified Create Object wizards to easily create objects.

  • AccessSQL Developer Web from the SQL Workshop menu.

    You can now open SQL Developer Web directly from the SQL Workshop menu in the menu bar. This feature requires ORDS version 23.1, and is configured at the instance level.

  • Enabling of REST Objects

    Enable REST objects using AutoREST feature of ORDS is now available on the RESTful Services home page.
