1.2.1 Accessing Services Offered Separately by Third Parties
1.2.1.1 Generative AI Services
Caution:
Certain features of APEX allow you to access services offered separately by third parties, for example, through the use of JSON specifications that facilitate your access to REST APIs. In particular, App Builder, in the Oracle APEX development environment, can be structured to communicate with certain generative AI services to help you in the development process, including assisting in writing SQL queries from user-provided natural language prompts, debugging code, generating text, and creating applications. Unless you choose otherwise, information about your schema such as table and column names may be used to augment your queries to help the generative AI service you select provide more useful information.
Note that use may require that you have an account with the third-party provider and communication with the third-party service may incur fees from the provider, for example, by counting towards your token usage.
Further, you agree to be solely responsible for complying with any terms, conditions, laws, and regulations related to use of any such third-party services. Notwithstanding any other terms and conditions related to the third-party services, your use of such APEX features constitutes your acceptance that your access and use of the third party services is solely at your own risk and that Oracle has no responsibility or liability for any damages resulting from such access or use.
