SUSPEND_DEEP_SEC Procedure

This procedure suspends Deep Data Security usage for the next SQL or PL/SQL execution. This is to be used when an operation is not supported by Deep Data Security–for instance, when starting a scheduler job using dbms_scheduler.create_job.

To suspend Deep Data Security for a page process, it’s best to create an execution chain that holds three child processes, as described in the example.

Syntax

PROCEDURE apex_exec.suspend_deep_sec;

Example

This example describes an execution chain that holds three child processes:

  1. Suspend Deep Data Security:

    begin
        apex_exec.suspend_deep_sec;
    end;
  2. Kick off a scheduler job:

    begin
        dbms_scheduler.create_job(
            job_name     => dbms_scheduler.generate_job_name,
            job_type     => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
            job_action   => 'begin ... end;',
            enabled      => true,
            auto_drop    => true );
    end;
  3. Resume Deep Data Security:

    begin
        apex_exec.resume_deep_sec;
    end;
