Creating a Target Group

Learn how to create target groups.

As a super administrator you can create target groups to grant other administrators access to targets as a group rather than individually.

  1. Log in to Oracle Database Security Central Console as a super administrator.

  2. Select Targets.

  3. Select Target Groups in the left navigation menu.

  4. Expand the User-defined groups section.

  5. Select Create in the top right corner.

  6. In the Create Target Group dialog, do the following:

    1. Group Name field: Enter a name for the target group.

    2. Description: Optionally, enter a description for this target group.

    3. Select targets to add to the group.

    4. Select administrators to receive access to the target group.

    5. Select Save.

Modifying a Target Group

You can modify the contents of a target group or change the target group name and description.

  1. Log in to Oracle Database Security Central Console as a super administrator.

  2. Select Targets.

  3. Select Target Groups in the left navigation menu.

  4. Select name of the target group to modify.

  5. In the Modify Target Group dialog, perform any of the following modifications:

    1. Change the Group Name.

    2. Optionally edit the Description.

    3. Select targets to add to the group.

    4. Select administrators to receive access to the target group.

    5. Select Save.

Oracle Database Security Central super administrators can control which administrators have access to targets or target groups. You can control access for an individual user or for an individual target or group.
