Rotating the ORDS_PUBLIC_USER User Password

The ORDS_PUBLIC_USER password automatically rotates every 60 days under normal circumstances. The password expires after 90 days, and a daily check rotates the password when fewer than 30 days remain before expiration. If repeated technical issues prevent automatic rotation between days 60 and 90, then use these steps to manually rotate the password.

1. Log in to the Audit Vault Server through SSH and switch to the root user.

2. Run the following command to force password rotation:

   /usr/bin/python3 /usr/local/dbfw/lib/python/avs/scripts/update_ords_public_user_user_password.py -FORCE
