Administrative Controls

Administrative controls including Auditing (only available on Oracle AI Database 26ai and later), Data Pump operations, Scheduler jobs, Proxy authentication, and Data Definition Language (DDL) operations, can be managed directly in DBSecCentral once credentials for Database Vault policy management are provided.

Create Administrative Controls

Administrative controls including Auditing, Data Pump operations, Scheduler jobs, Proxy authentication, and Data Definition Language (DDL) operations, can be created directly in DBSecCentral once credentials for Database Vault policy management are provided.

1. Log in to Oracle Database Security Central Console as an auditor.

2. Select Policies

3. Select Database Vault Policies from the left navigation menu.

4. Select name of the target database you want Oracle DBSecCentral to manage Database Vault policies for.

5. Provide user credentials following the steps in Set or Update the Credentials Needed for Database Vault Policy Management.

6. Expand the Administrative controls section.

7. Expand the section for the administrative control you want to add to.

8. Select Add.

9. Provide the details for the control. This typically includes specifying the users and schemas.

10. Select Add.

Delete Administrative Controls

Administrative controls including Auditing, Data Pump operations, Scheduler jobs, Proxy authentication, and Data Definition Language (DDL) operations, can be managed directly in DBSecCentral once credentials for Database Vault policy management are provided.

1. Log in to Oracle Database Security Central Console as an auditor.

2. Select Policies

3. Select Database Vault Policies from the left navigation menu.

4. Select the target database you want Oracle DBSecCentral to manage Database Vault policies for.

5. Provide user credentials following the steps in Set or Update the Credentials Needed for Database Vault Policy Management.

6. Expand the Administrative controls section.

7. Expand the section for the administrative control you want to delete.

8. Select the control(s) you want to delete.

9. Select Delete.

10. Select Delete on the additional confirmation pop-up.
