Evaluation Order of the Rules
Learn about the order in which the Database Firewall rules are evaluated or applied.
There can be multiple rules within a rule type. The table below lists the order in which they are applied or evaluated.

| Session Context | Session Context rules are applied in the order they are listed in the policy overview page. |
| SQL Statement | SQL Statement rules are applied in the order they are listed in the policy overview page. |
| Database Object | Database Object rules are applied in the order they are listed in the policy overview page. |
| Default | Can contain one rule only. |
In Monitoring / Blocking (Proxy) mode, by default the Database Firewall blocks all IPv6 traffic regardless of the policies in place.
You can change the evaluation order of the rules as follows:

Select Evaluation Order. A dialog appears.

Change the order of the rules using the up or down arrows on the right.

Select Save. A confirmation message is displayed on the screen. The updated order of the rules is refreshed on the main page.
