Oracle Database Security Central provides centralized dashboards that turn complex security telemetry into clear, actionable insight.

The Security Control Center dashboard correlates events across User 360, Data 360, Configuration 360, and Audit 360 to expose compound risks that isolated tools cannot identify independently. High-risk users, sensitive data exposure, configuration drift, and suspicious activity are brought together into a unified risk view, which allows teams to identify critical exposures quickly and prioritize remediation.

Reports

Oracle Database Security Central provides a comprehensive library of prebuilt reports covering database activity, privileged access changes, sensitive data access, security posture assessments, firewall events, and compliance frameworks including GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, IRS 1075, and UK DPA.

Reports can be explored interactively with advanced filtering for post-incident investigation, scheduled for automated distribution, and exported as PDF or spreadsheet files for audit submission. Reports can also require attestation or signoff, and the documented repository schema allows integration with third-party BI and SIEM platforms for broader security operations workflows.

This reporting capability is built on and significantly expanded from the proven Oracle AVDF reporting foundation. It enables organizations to produce structured compliance evidence, operational insight, and investigation-ready data without manual collection or correlation across disconnected systems.

Policy-Based Alerts

Oracle Database Security Central uses policy-driven, threshold-based alerting to deliver precise, high-confidence detection with minimal operational noise. Rather than relying on broad pattern matching alone, alerts are generated from defined security policies, behavioral thresholds, and correlated conditions across multiple data sources.

Alerts can identify events such as repeated login failures, unusual query volumes, privileged activity anomalies, and violations of approved security controls. Alert conditions can span more than one event and more than one target. Each alert includes contextual detail to support rapid investigation and response, and alerts can be forwarded by email or to syslog for integration with existing operations workflows.

The AI Advisor and the AI Assistant

Oracle Database Security Central includes a GenAI-powered AI Advisor that enables natural language queries on user activity, risk, and compliance posture. Security teams can ask questions in plain language and receive answers drawn from the platform’s aggregated data, which reduces the time from question to insight. The AI Advisor also provides step-by-step guidance for security configuration, investigation, and administrative tasks.

The AI Assistant extends this capability to alert policy authoring. Teams describe alert conditions in natural language, and the assistant translates that intent into structured policy logic ready for review and deployment. This reduces the specialist knowledge required to author precise detection rules, improves detection quality, and shortens the path from identifying a risk to enforcing a control against it.
