Upgrading from Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall to Oracle Database Security Central

If you are running Oracle AVDF release 20.14 or higher, you can upgrade to Oracle Database Security Central to continue receiving support and take advantage of the latest features and bug fixes. During the upgrade process, the existing 20.14 Audit Vault Server (AVS) is treated as the source AVS, while the DBSecCentral AVS is treated as the destination AVS.

If you are on a version earlier than AVDF 20.14, you must first update your 20.x environment to version 20.14 or later before proceeding with the upgrade to DBSecCentral.

Note: This chapter uses the terms update and upgrade interchangeably.
