Review the following operating system checklist for all installations.

Review operating system security standards Secure operating systems are an important basis for general system security.
Verify Privileges for Copying Files in the Cluster During installation, OUI copies the software from the local node to the remote nodes in the cluster. The installation user must have Administrator privileges on the other nodes in the cluster to copy the files.
Configure Remote Desktop Services If you want to enable remote display of the installation process, then configure remote access for necessary user accounts.
Disable Windows Firewall If the Windows Firewall is enabled, then remote copy and configuration assistants such as Virtual IP Configuration Assistant (VIPCA), Network Configuration Assistant (NETCA), and Oracle Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) will fail during Oracle RAC installation.
Operating system general requirements

Review the system requirements section for a list of minimum software component versions. Use the same operating system version on each cluster member node.

Windows Server 2016 x64 - Standard, Datacenter, and Essentials editions
Windows Server 2012 x64 - Standard, Datacenter, Essentials, and Foundation editions
Windows Server 2012 R2 x64 - Standard, Datacenter, Essentials, and Foundation editions

Ensure Web browsers are supported by Enterprise Manager Web browsers must support Java Script, and the HTML 4.0 and CSS 1.0 standards.
