Running Setup Wizard to Install Oracle Database Client

Use the runInstaller command to start the Oracle Database Client installation.

To install Oracle Database Client, perform the following steps:
  1. Log in to Windows as an Administrator user. If you are installing on a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) or a Backup Domain Controller (BDC), log on as a member of the Domain Administrators group.
  2. Navigate to the location of the installation media for Oracle Database Client, open a command prompt with administrator privileges, and run the setup.exe command to start the Oracle setup wizard. Use the same installation media to install Oracle Database on all supported Windows platforms.
  3. Select your installation type.

    Installation screens vary depending on the installation option you select. Respond to the configuration prompts as needed.
