Creating GNS Client Data File

Generate a GNS client data file and copy the file to the GNS client cluster member node on which you are installing Oracle Grid Infrastructure.

1. As the root user, create a GNS client data file on a GNS server cluster member.

   # srvctl export gns -clientdata /home/grid/gnsclient.xml -role client

2. Copy the GNS Client data file to a secure path on the GNS Client node.
   The grid user must have permissions to access that file. Oracle recommends that you do not grant permissions to any other user to access the GNS Client data file.
