5. External Files and External Tables

Oracle AI Database can query externally managed data without loading it into database storage first. Use one of three SQL access paths:

• a persistent external table
• an inline external table
• a table exposed through a mounted catalog

Complete the setup as explained in Chapter 2, before defining an external object.
