Mount Catalogs in Each Database
DBMS_CATALOG registers, enables, disables, refreshes, and unmounts supported catalogs for a particular Oracle AI Database. It is a database integration layer, not the catalog of catalogs. DBMS_CLOUD creates and maintains supported credential objects and performs cloud data or service operations; it does not mount catalogs.
Provider-specific mount procedures can define the local catalog name, endpoint, catalog type, configuration, catalog credential, and data-storage credential. After a catalog is mounted, users query supported objects with catalog-qualified SQL:
SELECT order_id, order_date, total_amount
FROM sales.orders@iceberg_cat
WHERE order_date >= DATE '2026-01-01';
The example uses simple uppercase catalog, schema, and table identifiers so quoting is not required. Provider-created mixed-case or special-character names can require quoted identifiers.
For details about supported register, enable, disable, refresh, and unmount procedures, see DBMS_CATALOG.
