Query Data through a Mounted Catalog

A mounted catalog exposes supported source objects through a database-local catalog name. Query the source schema, table, and mounted catalog:

SELECT order_id, order_date, region, amount
FROM sales.orders@lake_catalog
WHERE order_date >= DATE '2026-07-01';

If the mount intentionally defines a default schema, the schema can be omitted:

SELECT order_id, order_date, region, amount
FROM orders@lake_catalog;

Use the fully qualified form when the catalog contains multiple schemas. Catalog mounting and metadata ownership are described in Chapter 3.
