ROW_MOVEMENT_DEFAULT

ROW_MOVEMENT_DEFAULT specifies whether row movement is enabled by default for new tables.

Changing this parameter does not change the row movement setting for existing tables.

Set this parameter to ENABLED to allow row movement by default. When Oracle moves a row in a heap-organized table, the row’s ROWID can change.

The default value, DISABLED, prevents row movement by default.

You can enable or disable row movement for an individual table with the ROW MOVEMENT clause.

Note: This parameter is available starting with Oracle AI Database 26ai, Release Update 23.26.2.
